 Joe Nelson is a Master's level licensed Psychologist who has been counseling people for the past 32 years. Joe has treated people of all ages, and most types of problems. He has specialized in treating emotional issues concerning chronic disease and sexual problems with individuals and couples. In addition, he has practiced various types of meditation for more than 30 years and taught mindfulness based stress reduction for the past seven years at Park Nicollet Medical Center.
Joe enjoys a private practice, Golden Valley Psychotherapy Associates, in Golden Valley Minnesota, as well as providing care at Park Nicollet's Sexual Health Center. He practices and teaches mindfulness based meditation and teaches health professionals about emotional issues for people who live with chronic disease at the International Diabetes Center in Minneapolis. After 19 years of sobriety, Joe does his best to maintain a balanced life through meditation, exercise, family and work.
